Title: How can I print difficult to see items (light colours)
Post by: Edwardt on September 10, 2009, 03:44:42 PM
The default 2D overhead print colour for light switches and power outlets is a lovely orange/brown, but its way too light to be easily viewed on white paper from a standard buuble jet printer. Any ideas on how to change the colour of these items or another work around? Thanks for your help.

Hi Edward,

Welcome to the forum!

You can change the colour of what shows in 2D in the same way as you change the colour or texture of anything - by using the Appearance tab in the object's Properties. You will notice the 2D colours are in the list - just select them and then double-click in the Line Colour box near the bottom of the dialog box.

If you want to print it all in black you can just set the printer that way but paler colours may still be too pale.  To print it all dark black, without changing each item, you could use the technique in this post http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,877.0.html (http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,877.0.html).
