My wife and I are completely new to TurboFloorPlan. We are just tinkering with possible designs for a retirement home to be built in rural Wisconsin. My wife has been doing most of the tinkering so far and we have not seen any information on how to make a floor plan that is not boxy. We are looking to incorporate angles and possibly curved walls. Is there an easy way of accomplishing this.

I'm new to TFP too! I'm using it to design a retirment home too. I needed to make non-square walls too. This is how: "ORTHO". Easy way is to click a button for it in the lower right hand corner, see the buttons - GRIDSNAP, OBJSNAP,,,ORTHO, etc. Function key "F8" will toggle ortho too. When out of ortho you can draw walls, and lots more at non-90deg. angles. Also, look in the menus for Settings > Programme Settings > Drawing Aids. There are all the setups for the snaps and grids.
Another important time saving tip! Above the Drawing Aids tab I was just talking about is a "Workspace" tab. In it check the Commander box in the Tool Display area. That will open a bar at the bottom. When you start drawing a wall the "Distance" box will be blue highlighted, with your pointer still on the wall just type 15' <enter> and it will make the wall that exact length. If you want to make it at an exact angle hit the tab key to blue highlight the "Direction" box and you can type in an exact angle for the wall.
Anyway, play with the ortho and draw some odd angle walls, great fun!!! You can curve a wall easily by selecting the wall section, right click the mouse, and select "curve" near the bottom of the pop up menu. Grab the blue dot at the middle of the wall and pull it the way you want. If there is a roof on the wall it automatacially curves the roof profile, very cool!
