I know there is NO continuity, but why would that prevent me from applying base trim to just one wall on the side of the wall I want it applied to?

As I stated in my post, check the exterior walls' continuity

Sorry, don't understand why you mean by "Visualization Speed"?  Options provided indicate "Navigation Speed" that can be adjusted.  Are you referring to FPS?  If so, that isn't my issue.

The issue is that I get a long delay when I click in 3D view before my mouse motion is noticed in the view.  I can move my mouse around for 5 seconds while the 3D View is active and nothing happens.  After 5 seconds the 3D view will eventually recognize my mouse movement and respond accordingly.

I'll contact support. thanks.

I did check elevations and still can't see any trim.  Per my image there is not option to apply to interior wall, the trim always gets applied to exterior of the wall.

Again, this is just with ONE area, all other areas that are referenced as "room" (on initial setup) and the trim displays as expected.  It's just the one area not defined as a "room".

I've added a floor, removed the floor, adjusted elevations and still the trim will never show the option to apply to the room.

The issues seems to be that FL 2024 doesn't understand that I'm working with interior walls for this specific area because the area has been initially setup as a "room".  All other "rooms" in my Floorplan work as expected with the Trim.

Is there some way I can define this area as a "room" so the Trim application works correctly?

Trims can be applied on the interior and / or exterior walls.

Regarding the interior walls, if you can't see the trims, check the walls continuity, floors and specially, check the elevations.

Hope this helps.

Your post includes several concepts related with visualization and other concepts related with rendering: these are different processes, therefore, for example, the render quality is not related with the visualization speed.

I'd suggest that you check, learn and analyze the hardware and software settings for both processes (as recommended in the User Guide).

Otherwise, please, check this issue with tech. support.

When I have the 3D window open in walk-through mode, there is a LONG delay (5+ seconds) from when I left click the mouse button to any actual movement in the 3D window/view.  Changing navigation and render quality settings makes absolutely no difference.  Changing navigation speed and camera angle makes no difference at all.  These settings seem to be completely ignored so not really sure why they exist?

Because the delay between mouse click and navigation motion is so long it makes it very annoying to walk-thru the house.  Once movement starts and I keep my left mouse button down it's fine, just the initial mouse click delay.

It doesn't seem to matter if the room is full of furnishings or empty ... the delay is the same.

V17 - 2026 General Discussion / Wall Trim ... can only apply t...

I have an area that is internal to the home and is technically a "Bonus room", but FL 2024 does seem to recognize the area as a "room".  When I try to apply Wall Trim (Base Trim) to the wall it only allows me to add the wall trim to "external" which is NOT want I want:

Application of base trim works fine in other "rooms" but not in an "internal" area.  How can I get around this odd limitation?
