Hi,

See attached.  I added a new location on which I put a new footing and new concrete walls...but I still see the grass through it  ???  I am unable to add a concrete slab or whatsoever.

What am I doing wrong?  Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Seems a bit perplexing but the different Locations that go below the terrain level (0), is what is causing the problem.

If you look at Settings/ Programme Settings / Terrain, you will notice there is a tick box to "Auto-cut terrain around building" and next to a drop down list of the Building Locations.  It will only cut around one of these locations, so the terrain (grass) was not in the location that was ticked (probably the Ground Floor by Default), but still flowed through the other part of the building.

Because you have a couple of locations that go below ground level, just setting it to one is not sufficient, so you will have to create another one to use as your 'cut out' location.  Set the floor level for it at 0 (although it does not really matter) and draw some walls that are the outer perimeter of the whole building.  Use the View Filter to turn off the walls (and floor if auto floor is on) or just turn off the whole location, as you do not need to see it again - the walls on it just cut the right shaped hole for you.  Obviously set the drop down list to your new 'cut terrain' location as in the image below.

Once again Allan, your tip worked as 1-2-3.

Thanks very much  :D
