Lost 2d view

I seem to have lost my 2d view.  My design can be seen in 3d but when I go back to the 2d view I can't find it.  I have scrolled up, down sideways, over and over again.  I've zoomed in and out.  I've also opened another design with no problem with finding 2d view.  Can anyone help?

What happens when you clcik the Zoom to Extents icon? This should normally show you the whole terrian with the model in the middle (assuming you put it in the middle of the screen of course).  What happens in the camera mini view window?  Can you see the plan there or is it almost blank too?

If that is the case it sounds as though you have accidentally inserted something 'miles away' from your model and the program is trying to show you that as well, shrinking the model as a result.  You will have to find that item and delete it.

Hi Alan, There is a line that extends far out that says it is the mfd baseboard.  It extends way out but I cannot delete it.  Any ideas.

This sounds like your problem. You will not be able to select it, as it is part of the wall properties, so you haveto select the wall that is causing it.  This means zooming in very close and you will find you have a bad wall intersection, that has probably a tiny triangular piece of wall making up part of the intersection.  This will probably be what is throwing out the baseboard that is heading off to infinity!  If you hold down the shift and click on the adjoing walls you will see the segments that make up the intersection. It should be just one clean,trwo way mitre.  Redoing the intersection will probably fix it.

You could also try the File / Repair Project option. It will see this wall as a corruption and should delete it.  I would still zoom in first to see it for yourself, so you can see deforehand what the Repair deletes.  It is wise to do the Repair from time to time, so you do not go too far with  something and find it causes a buildup of issues and you end up with crashes and lose even more that just one wall.
