Toilet Seats & Tank Lids

Anybody know why toilet seats & tank lids would disappear from the project and the insert plumbing catalog (all seats & lids disappear from the plumbing insert choices)?  The remainder of the toilet is OK.  I save frequently as I design the project, and sometimes the seats & lids disappear from one save to the next.  It's happened more than once.  I can go back to a "good" save, and continue, but this means loosing all the work after the "good" save.

Hi Otto
It looks like you have a damage catalog, try to open the other catalog, metric if you use master catalog, and look if the same happen.
If the same happen I thin you have to reinstall the program, save a copy of your drawing in a different catalog catalog on the HD.

Hi Otto,

I have never see this before, very strange and I suspect that Robert may be right, that the catalogue is corrupted. Do they dissappear from the Catalogue at the same time as from the model? If they are still there in the Catalogue, can you 'Replace' them with the same one from the Catalogue?  I understand it is happening to all the toilets so I presume you have not applied a texture to all of them that is actully transparent.  When they have dissappeared can you change the texture and if so does that make any difference?

If the file is not too big, (and you don't mind), it would be interesting if you could post on the Forum, one of the saves where they have disappeared, just to see if the problem is confined to the model and if someone else's Catalogue 'fixes' it.

Alan & Robert-----

I'm reasonably computer literate  --  probably more than most based on the fact that I'm usually the helper rather than  the helpee.  It's been difficult, but I've learned not to get in a knot over things I can't understand IF I can keep things moving forward.  That seems to be the case in this situation.

In an effort to provide more info to the forum, I opened the newest "save", went to Insert-Interiors-Plumbing Fixtures.  Toilet 1 & Toilet 2 were missing the seats & tank lids (as were the toilets in the project).  I closed that project window (leaving the main program open).  Went back a few "saves" (where I knew there was a "good" toilet) and opened it, and went to Insert-Interiors-Plumbing Fixtures.  The Toilets were correct with seats & lids.  I closed that window, leaving main program open.  I reopened the newest "save", and again went to Insert-Interiors-Plumbing Fixtures.  Lo and behold, the seats & lids were correct.  The toilets in the project were still missing the seats & lids.  I inserted a new toilet in the middle of the floor, and shazzam, seats & lids appeared on all toilets in the project!  I deleted the new toilet, and all remained well with the existing toilets in the project.

I don't have a clue  -- but I NEVER argue with success.

(Sure wish I had a better understanding of the grubby details of how the catalog works in TFP)

Hi Otto, great that it worked out for you, it was a very strange foult, it looks that the catalog work, one thing that I can think abut is a virus in your computer. Have you search for virus on your computer, with a newly updated virus-program?

By the way I forgot, welcome to the group.

My sentiments exactly.  When something finally works I leave it alone. Unfortunately later, if it happens again, I have usually forgotten what I did in the first place!
