Cannot install patch for TFP Deluxe v14

When I try to install the patch TFP v14 Deluxe Update 624-662, I get an error message that I must be an administrator to install this software. I AM the administrator for my laptop. No joy. Any ideas? thanks!

Hi.

You may be the Administrator, but if you are using Vista or Windows 7, it does not automatically log you in with administrator rights.

If you go to where you have saved the 'TFP update exe' file, and right click, you should see the option 'Run As Administrator'.  This should give you those rights temporarily.

Depending on the operating system you are using, (especially Vista) you may also have to run it in XP Compatibility mode. (Go to the Control Panel and use the 'Search' to find Compatibility - the wizard will talk you thorugh it). Try 'Run As Administrator' first - you may get away with it.

I presume you have checked, but just make sure you are currently running Deluxe (not Pro) version 624 - if so the Deluxe 624-662 is fine.
