I have now managed to get form the official site, TFP V16 Trail for 14 days.
Install went fine.
However when i run it, it gets as far as loading all the menus etc, but then up pops a box saying
"TurboFloorPlan3D has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Send report to MS?. i say no, and it closed the program down.
Happens every time i try it. (had exactly the same thing happen when i tried envisioneer, hence the reason i am trying FP)

Comp:
Win Xp Pro SP3
Intel 2.8GHz
2.00GB RAM
Radeon x1300 (512MB Ram)
1680 x 1050 32bit colour 60hz

Any clues as to why?

1 - Imsi has a Complimentary Installation Assistance
http://imsidesign.com/Support/TurboFLOORPLANSupport/tabid/515/Default.aspx

2 - Verify if you are performing the Clean Installation steps as described in the same page linked above

In the meantime, I'd suggest these steps (it is a routine maintenance)

1 - Check the website of your video card manufacturer and update the drivers

2 - Go to the video setup on your PC (may be different for different versions of Windows and video card); for most, click on an empty part of the windows Desktop, click on Settings->Advanced->Troubleshoot. If you are using Win 7 look for Personalize--> Performance. Back the accelerations slider to the left, one level each time and see if the problem disappears

3 - Right click on the wallpaper (look for a place without icons)--> Properties--> Settings--> Advanced--> Open GL--> Compatibility Settings--> Force 16 bits--> Apply--> OK

4 - Set your video color depth at 24 or 32 bits ("true color")

5 - Go to www.microsoft.com/directx, and see what version is current and check if you have this version installed in your computer

6 - If the problem persists--> change the color settings from to 16 bit

7 - Run Malwarebytes http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and Spybot http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html  (yes, run both, they are free). They use to find different things

Let us know about the results

Hi!
If that how Pat, wrote in his post don't work, but it usually work, so have you a link to the graphic card below.

I have a download the TFP V16 Pro with and it runs with out any problem on my Windows XP Sp3. look at my spec. under the post the different between our computers is the graphic card

Maybe there is some files missing look at the size of your downloaded file.
Open explore and go the the downloaded file --> right click on it --> select properties. There is 2 different size. both say 579 MB but one say 607 519 953 byte and the other say 607 522 816 byte. Is your the number the same as my it is OK, if not there might be some trouble with the download.

A link to your graphic card http://www.amd.com/us/products/notebook/graphics/ati-mobility-hd-x1000/x1300/Pages/x1300.aspx if you have a laptop,
if you have a desktop try this link http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Legacy/Pages/radeonaiw_xp.aspx?type=2.4.1&product=2.4.1.3.13&lang=English
Bout be sure before that is right driver before you install the file.
