How do I move things in the catalog?

I have imported items (.dxf AND the colors that came with) and created items...

Mostly I have learned to try to be exact about the catalog manager....but sometimes things go in  to a <default> area when you use import (So far I think I have found everything but I think I may have a couple items "lost" in the maze of catalog/materials/elements/etc.)

So now I have extra folders (I at least renamed them to find things better) and I'd like to "move" the objects and materials (colors/paint) to their already existing folders provided by TFP so I can keep my search for stuff consistent. Then I can delete folders with few contents.

BUT after searching thru help....I cannot find a way to "move" something from one place in the catalog to another existing place....using catalog manager.  For example, move a "paint" color from an imported .dxf object to the colors folder   (and why do we have 'paint' and 'color' in some places but not all? and what is so different that we have two names alike?)

Can it be done?  If so, how? If not, then I'll add a suggestion to do so.  Seems like an obvious thing to do with a "manager" tool (copy/paste or move)...especially when I can't just "add" when the source is part of a dxf file.

Here is another reason why we need a "search" capability for the catalog and a means to extract the whole catalog contents....so we can manage the catalog efficiently.

If you make a copy of the catalog the you can use merge to make what you will have, but don't froget to delete the doublets.
This is what i can think on now.

Yes I agree whit you there and I think it been nice to have some disply of file size in the manger so you not do the catalog to big.
