I note that TPF 16 pro does not have a sola hot water panel with attached tank in the catalogue file. Does anyone know where such a bim file can be sourced. Thanks

Hi Bob,

I hove noticed this apparent omission and hve wondered whether they are used in North America?  Maybe someone from there can let us know on that.

Anyway,  it is very easy to make one. I assume you have imported the Usefull Shapes referred to in this post ; http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,315.0.html .  All you need is a Box flattened and one of the Cylinders rotated. You will find when imported that both can be rotated so you can place the panel at the same degrees as the roof and simply elevate both, giving the panel a reflective blue 'Paint' surface. If you want the edges of the panel to be a different colour then use the Custom Member from Interior Accessories / Decorative (it can also be rotated).

Alternatively you could just use one of the Solar Panels (change the surface texture of course) and add the Cylinder. These panels can be rotated too.  You could even make the panel using a Line, converted to a wide Member and you can then just click it to match it the the angle of the roof.

I have also attached one that I made using the Custom Member and Cylinder and saved as a 3DS so it could be added to my Catalogue. If you use this one you will find there are not any proper names for the different areas to set textrues but you will find that Mat2 and Mat4 are the panel surfaces. To use this one (if you are not sure how), just right click in Roof Accessories or Plumbing and choose Add Element. During import just change 'Feet and Inches' to mm and the size should be about right - you can change it later if you want
The images are of this one and as used on this web application I did a couple of years ago www.synergy.net.au/renovator (Click the solar HWS icon on the roof).
