Possible to combine (parts of) projects?

Not that I need to do it now, but I was just wondering: in case I want, could I combine (parts of) different projects?
Let's say I developed a terrain layout for my garden with swimming pool etc, then started to build a bungalow.
Assume that I have seen somewhere in another TFP project a building that I want to copy or use as my template: how can I then just copy that bungalow en paste it into my own project?

It is not possible to copy paste between projects. You could export a bungalow from one project as a 3DS and import it into another but it is then just a fixed object - you can only edit total size and textures but the latter is hard to do as there are so many and they are just numbered items with no description of what they are.

Maybe if you can finalise the bungalow to the point where you do not want to change it further it may be OK.

One hour after I asked my hypothetical question my project file got corrupt (again...) and whatever I did, it remained non-responsive.
Since all the backups from the same session had the same problem, my only option left was to go back 1 day in time to find a 'clean' project and start again from there. Which meant that I lost 1 day of intense work.
So, had copy/past between projects been possible, I could have copied/pasted at least the one single room that I had been putting a lot of work in.
But your answer is clear: no copy/paste between projects is possible.

So I just made a few screen shots of the particular room in the corrupt project as an example to re-create that same room in the clean project.

It is a shame that you lost a lot of work - there is one consolation though - it is quicker to do the second time around!!
