Need a simple 2D deck

I find the appearance of the 2D decks too...busy. I don't need all those structural lines, or a 3D render, and would like a simple rectangular shape with parallel line hatching to indicate timber boards. Any tips?

Hi Jon,

Welcome to the forum.

Another option is to simply draw a Floor (by Picking Points) and set it's 2D surface to a straight line pattern (Corrugated, Horizontal Siding, Vertical Siding etc). Must turn on Patterned View of course. If you did this you can add balustrades, steps etc and they would all show correctly in the2D view.
