Hi Forum,
I am currently setting up all the preferred window sizes for my state.
If I have setup all the preferred window sizes for awning windows, can I copy all these elements
Into the sliding window area so then all I have to do is change the basic element from an awning
To a sliding window? And then again into the fixed window etc
I have tried to group select elements but it doesn't seem to work nor is there a copy element in the dialogue box where the add group, add elemental is located.
Alternatively is there a way to edit the .bdb file say in the backend through Microsoft Access or
Something similar as entering large number of entries through he dialogue boxes can be slow going.

Hi Shayne,

If you right click in the Windows section of the Catalogue you have the Elements Manager option. In there you can shift select a group of windows and change many of the settings all at once. Obviously some settings are not changeable and will be greyed out or will be red if they different on each window eg width and height.

In Elements Manager you can also move (click and drag) windows into another section and change the type. You could create a new window group of your own (right click Add Group), right click and Copy your key windows, drag them to your new group and then change the type, so the originals remain as they were. In Elements Manager you can move your own Group to the top. I have my own group of elements at the top of every section of the Catalogue, so all the things I use most frequently are always at the top so I rarely have to scroll down.

You can copy an element in the catalogue section also, but what you do is select the one you want to copy, right click and choose Add Element.  The added element is a copy of the one selected. You need to use Elements Manger however to move it into another group.
