I cannot figure out how to get the counter to continue over the dishwasher.  The 3D view always has gap in counter over it.  Also, I cannot get the conter to overhang the back of peninsula for seating.  Any suggestions?

What I did one time was to insert the lower cabinet in the desired spot in the kitchen.  The "slide" the dishwasher into the cabinet. In 2D view you'll see the two objects (cabinet and dishwasher) using the  "same space".  If you need to...adjust the properties of the dishwasher (height, width, etc....).  The just use the same material you used for the other cabinet counters on this cabinet.

Gary's solution works well. Just slide the dishwasher into the cabinet leaving the front sticking out a fraction. You must turn off Collision of course or it won't go in.

Also you do have a "Counter Top" option of course (slide the cupboard Type to the far right). This can be set any width to make a breakfast bar.

Another option is to just use a Floor by Picking Points. You can make this any shape (even curved) and thickness and just Elevate it to the correct height. Turn off the cupboard's own top if it gets in the way.

Thanks for the replies.  Allan, I'm not sure what the Counter Top option you mentioned is.  Where do I find it.

Gary, your idea worked great!

Hi Rob, (I assume)

If you go to the Cabinet Properties (right click), on the Basic tab you will see a set of Type images across the top. Move the slider to the extreme right and you have  Counter Top (in other words the cabinet underneath disappears).
