FRUSTRATED Exterior walls default to interior walls on both sides after moving

Granted I am new to this program but am getting very frustrated.  I have V12 of Home & Landscape Pro.
The situation, I use House Builder Design Wizard to pick a basic layout.
Once I have that accomplished; I start to relocate ground floor walls to get the perimeter shape and dimensions I want as nothing in the wizard is close.  When I review in 3D all the first floor walls that I mooved have changed to interior walls on both sides.  That in itself is bad enough but I have been unsuccessful in being able to change them back to exterior brick walls.
Also disappointing, that the foundation does not move with the ground floor walls.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, my overall goal is to model my house and then add the addition we are planning - have an issue adding foundations as well but that a question for another post.

Thanks in advance to any that respond -

Hi and welcome to the forum.

If the outside walls are not showing the Exterior texture that you have chosen, then it sounds as though you have a break somewhere in the wall. All exterior walls must be connected to make a continuous outside surface otherwise they revert to Interior walls. Check the exterior wall for a gap somewhere and join it and the Exterior texture will appear.

If you want the walls on one location to move with those on another location (eg your Ground Floor and Foundation walls or second floor etc) then you have to select both and move them together. You can select both in 3D View and then drag the centre wall blue marker but it is hard to see how far you have moved in 3D. Select both, switch to Plan View - your selection of the walls will be lost but if you then go to Edit / Select Previous, they will both be selected again. Now you can drag the centre blue marker and both will move together and adjoining walls, floor, ceiling and roof will all stretch as necessary.

I hope that helps. Any other questions just ask.

Thank You so much - I will check to ensure I have no gaps.
If it is that simple and I somehow missed that I am going to feel very foolish.

Thanks Again - Tom

Hi Tom,

Hopefully that is all it is - I cannot think of anything else that would cause it and it is one of the most common things that new ones miss, so no need to feel foolish either!  :D
