hello
from today I can't use the program anymore
I get this messages (see attachment)
Somebody the can help me out here

thank you

Allan Chesney

Hi Peter

Not sure about the first message but the next two indicate that the Catalogue does not exist where it should be.
How long ago did you last use it?
Have any file structure changes been made on the computer since it was last used?
Have you checked whether the Catalogue is still there in the Catalogue folder? (Settings/ Program Settings/ General will tell you the address on your computer where the other folder installed and hence where the Catalogue folder should be - probably C:/ Program Data/IMSIDesign/TFP etc16/Catalogs).

I suspect if the missing Catalogue can be relocated it should all be OK.

hello alan

thank you for the quick respons
its one big mess is it not easier that I just reinstal the program than everything is back to normal
the al go to my temp folder and finding is gonna be time taking
witch I dont have

Allan Chesney

Hi Peter,

A reinstall may be quicker - as long as you have the necessary serial numbers and unlock codes etc. Bear in mind that IMSI Design no longer sells or supports version 16 so I am not sure whether they can still issue new codes if you run into difficulties. Check with them first before you do a reinstall. (V17 (and later) are from a different software company and a totally different program with no compatibility with V16, so those codes will not work).

You can probably find the catalogue quite easily by just doing a Windows Explorer Search for a BDB file. If it has accidentally been deleted, I can email a copy to you, if your email can take a 30MB file.

hi Allen

I did find the catalogue thanks
but when i load a tree it is not correct (is it a other one?)
probably that pat is also incorrect

(EDIT the rest is fine it is just the plants the load incorrect where do I chance the path ?)

Allan Chesney

Hi Peter,

Going by your images, that do not show any textures, just an empty box and the name, it looks as though the Textures folder is missing also. This should be in the same folder (TFO etc16) as the Catalogs.  This may affect the trees but the Plant Encyclopedia may also be missing. Check out the Textures folder first - it is a very large folder full of all the colours and textures used by the catalogue. A windows search for Textures should find it - move it to the TFP folder.

After you find that, (and the textures appear in the empty boxes) you can then try the trees and see if they work.

hello Allen

thank you for your help
its almost fixt exept my plants  the dont show up
I stil get the brown/green picture
how can i fix this?

Allan Chesney

Hi Peter,

It sounds as though the program still cannot find the 'Plant Encyclopaedia'. What happens when you click on this on the toolbar? Does it open?

Using Windows Explorer, have a look in the TFP 16 folder, (where the Catalogue and Textures are) - is there a folder called Plant Encyclopedia? It should have 3 files, the critical one being a file called garden.db - does it? If not you will have to find this on your computer also and copy it back to this 'Plant Enclycopedia' folder. Also find GARDEN.TDB and copy that back too. You may not be able to find GARDEN.LDB but that should be automatically created when you are able to access the plants correctly. See the image below.

Let me know how you go.

Allan
