Hi,
My first question here.  Is anybody else running version 17.5.5 on an iMac, and are you having problems with the tools and views?

Thanks

Darren

Hi,

Thanks for answering.  "Check for updates" does not appear to be an option I have.  I've been through preferences and the menu over-and-over to no avail.  It still locks up after my first selection of a tool or icon.  Very disappointed.  Guess I'll have to call.  I have TurboCAD 8, and found them pretty unfriendly.

Thanks,
Ray

Hi there,

updates are supposed to be automatic. To do it manually, check on the title of the program and see the items in the drop down menu

Hi Patricia,
Here's what it looks like on the Mac.
I believe on the Windows version it has the Check for updates option.

Hi Darren,

I have both programs (mac and win), however, currently I am traveling just with my netbook, so I don't have access to my programs.
As soon as I return, I'll post my answer

Hi Everybody,

I finally got organized and contacted tech support at IMSI.  They put me onto this link, which downloads TFP Pro v 17.5.7.  I haven't spent a lot of time with it yet, but at first blush it appears to fix the problems with Yosemite 10.10.2.  Thanks to Darren for putting me onto what to ask for.  Tech support also sounded genuinely interested in being helpful and getting me straightened out.

Hi Roddy,
Great, they were very helpful and professional when I called them also.

You may have to take down the link for the newer build though. It may be intended only for Customers that contact support, unless IMSI posts an Update on the Updates page or says its OK. I'm just letting you know because they don't have any Mac updates listed on the Updates page as of yet.

Glad you're up and running.

Hi,

I asked about posting the link, and they said it was OK.  Pure speculation on my part, but this link may only be good until they get a link on the updates page.  He seemed surprised there was not already.  I've seen other tech supports handle stop-gap similarly before.

Hi Ray,
Thanks for checking on it and thanks for the Update. Now it can help more people.

Hi Darren and Roddy,

I am back!  :)

OK, this is my answer: although some updates are automatic, as this patch goes from 17.5.5 to 17.5.7, it must be installed manually.
In addition to the Yosemite issues, this patch includes the following improvements:

• Made several improvements to the sample plan chooser window.
• Made several improvements to the 3D lighting window.

Hope this helps
