Once things are in a drawing, they can't be selected.

I'm using turbo floor plan V16. I'm brand new, so likely just missing something simple. I follow the basic steps to create the building, but find that once things are in the drawing, nothing can be selected. I first tried to select the edge of my roof to change from hip to gable and was not able to. I had three friends try, also with no luck. I tried placing furniture and other items, which works fine, but once they are placed, they can't be selected. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

It is possible to turn selection of individual parts of the model, or all of it, off in View Filter but if you had done that you would know.

I am suspicious that it could be an out of date video card driver on your computer. To check it out go to Settings / Program Settings and select the Graphics tab. On that panel the Hardware Acceleration option is probable ticked. Try un-ticking it and see if it works then.

If it does, you can leave it like that, but you may find editing thongs will be slow. The solution usually is to got to the website  of your computer manufacturer and look for a video driver update for your compuuter model.

Unchecking the box has fixed the problem. I'll have to see about getting an update. Thank you very much!!

At  least that gets you going again. The problem until you get the driver update could be very slow movement,, especially when you add more things in and try to do 3D walk-throughs. Updating the driver is usually a fairly painless process once you find the right one. Most graphics card manufacturers have a system to notify you when updates are available.
