Hi Patricia, I have question is there a way to have specific colors for different lines in the detail plan? I am thinking no but wanted to ask you.
Thanks

Hi Randy,

Sure you can. You can move the Details to other tabs (Landscape, Deck, etc). The details will appear with the color of the tab.
By clicking on the name of the tab a drop down menu will open with the names of the tabs --> you have the option of viewing or hiding other tabs. Just check the names of all the tabs you wish to show.
As you have my eBook, you will find additional resources checking the pages 13 and 14 (questions & answers 3 and 4) as well as the screen colors section (page 154)

Hope this helps

Patricia

Hi Patricia, yes I realize you can put and objects in different plans like say the detail tab and change the color of the detail plan. What I mean is to change line colors. What I mean like if I have water utility one color and sewer another, cable the underground utilities different colors on the detail plan. Does the question make sense?

Oh by the way I do not have your great ebooks with me they are in MT

Hi Randy,

Yes, this is exactly what I answered. Perhaps an image will help

1 - Go to the Detail tab => draw the lines -> you can use different thickness or types of lines (outlined and pointed in red in the image)
2 - Move the lines to different tabs => in the image, I moved the Water line to the Plumbing tab (Edit => Move to plan), the Cable line to the Electrical tab and I kept the Sewer line in the Detail tab => as you can see the 3 lines appear with different colors

Patricia, It is so crazy here the city officials did not know where the utilities were located. So we figured it out for them. Wild. They were trying to find the water and sewer with coat hangers. No GPS or Ground Information Map.
