Conversion of Version 9 BMF to Version 12 BLD

Back in September 2004 I purchased Version 9.  About a year ago I remove it from my PC to get back some space but I kept the original download.

Now I need to look at some files created in Version 9 so I went to reinstall the program and it is asking for the serial number and I can not find where I saved that information.  The Version 9 created BMF files.  I downloaded the trial version of 12, but it uses BLD files and won't open BMF files.  What am I supposed to do?  HELP!

If you downloaded Version 9 then you probably received the serial number by email - have you checked your emails back around that time? If that does not help then you will have to get onto IMSI direct I suspect, to try to get a new serial number/activation code.

V12 is a totally different architecture, although it works in a similar manner. As you say it will not (yet) open a BMF file, but you could export a DXF file from V9 (when you can open it) and use that to trace a new version in V12.

If you have a BMF that you want to look at, and none of the above work, then post the BMF here, and I (or others here) can open it for you and export it as a DXF, so you can open that in V12.
