Installing 'Extras'

Hi all,

    I just intalled V12 from the CD.  On the CD it had "Browse Extras". How do I install the "extras" from the CD to the main program?

I'm going from memory now, so not positive.... you can check some earlier posts about what was available in the "extras"

As I remember there are two kinds of extras (I looked but did not find anything I needed as yet so I have not "installed" any)...

- floorplans and elev. views of pre-designed houses....in .jpg format:  import as picture for use as tracing (see help file - trace)  menu/file/import/trace

- there are some catalogs .bdb   - use catalog manager to open the extras catalog(s) which replaces the current catalog, insert objects, then select old catalog when you want the std objects to insert. Can't have both open at same time. There are metric and english....same contents, different dimension type
You can merge the extra with the basic catalog but makes file big and program possibly slower....see earlier posts on merging catalogs.
