Duplicate element frustration

I could remake each one, but it says I can duplicate.  I right click, click on duplicate, then it says click someplace then click someplace else.  These second two clicks do nothing.  Then when I right click to say finish, all I get is cancel.

Yes it is VERY confusing!  As you have done - right click, Duplicate then click ON THE SAME ELEMENT and drag it away.  The copy is on top of the original! You have to drag it off.  If you have done this a few times, you may have now a pile of them on top of each other.  Just keep deleting them and then undo the last one to bring the original back.

Well, that might be nice if I could move them.

Also although I had tried it many times, there was only one.

Sometimes display and move issues are caused by Hardware Acceleration - Settings / Program Settings / Graphics. Try turning it off and see if that helps.
