I dont know what happend but I no longer have ANY cameras other than a camera 1 that is worthless.

I need to get the two default cameras back on my drawing badly. If I create a new drawing the default cameras are there but after 6hrs of working on my new houseplans I have somehow lost the 3d viewing.

If I create new cameras, I get only a sky with clouds, my house is nowhere.

This is beyond making me angry.

I cant even copy and paste my work into a new doc so that I can get on with my life.

Please help before I commit suicide or go postal in walmart.

In 2D PLAN view (not 3D) you should be able to go to View/3D Camera view, Place New Camera and it should end up at the default height pointing to wherever you point it to after the initial click.

somehow you probably accidentally deleted the two default cameras

as Allan suggested you can add a new camera

I suggest you add several new cameras, one at a time, locate and aim each as you wish and give it a name that has meaning to you...they will remain with the .bld file for next times you open the file

I also recommend you use the view manager and setup at least a 2D and a 3D view which adds a tab at bottom to easily switch views and the camera in that view remains as you left it....you can also arrange the view windows so you can view both 2D and 3D at same time

and if you have 2 3D cameras (such as interior and exterior), if you set one view window for each, you don't need to move a camera often

multiple view windows and cameras are your friends

movie capture was helpful.....

Since the add camera does add a camera and shows a 3D view (albeit only the sky) and its at its default position ....I suspect not a bug or program crash, nor even a bad object/material insert....but I could be wrong.

I'll guess one or all of the following should be checked...

- maybe the "location" of the house is well above or below your line of sight...check "locations" values

- and in the 3D camera view, zoom way back/up/down/walk/zoom to extents etc. to try to find anything

- maybe your objects are all "hidden" from view ("eyes" closed)

- also try elevation views to see if its there from a side view

- since no terrain (green land) is shown, its either off or located far away? check it and turn it on.

You are on an exploratory hunt in 3D to find where everything is....could insert a very large and tall object to make it obvious to find? Selct it in 2D, go to 3D and menu view "select last" again (or similar words) may help find things...zoom to selection

If no success with above, suggest you post the .bld file for others here to look at it a poke around to find a problem.
