Is this a bug, a bad install, or me?

Just installed and started to use.

At one point during my very first session with the program, the catalogue info boxes disappeared from the right side of the screen where they had been.  Not in a "normal" way - like if I had accidently clicked to turn them off.  The drawing screen did not expand to fill the void, and where they had been was just a blue panel.  Nothing in the settings or program screens could bring them back.

I eventually restarted, and the catalogue info boxes are now horizontal bands filling the screen side to side.  I guess they are "docked".  I found the instructions on how to move them, but nothing seems to work.  Hovering the cursor at the edges does not give the option to move them.

I need the info boxes back to the right side of the screen where they were at the very first use.  As it is, my working area is only a horizontal band only half-a-screen high.  Makes things very difficult.

Am I missing something here?  Is there some mouse click I'm not catching to undock them?  Or is this an official glitch?

It is a bug (apparently) - it is NOT YOU!  The same thing happened to me, in the same way and, as you have found, it is impossible to work with a screen only half the height it should be!  The good news is it can be fixed, the bad news is you have to re-install to do it - at least that is what I had to do. (See the original thread on this subject called "Elements list stuck on screen" in this section - it is a few pages back now in thread I started).  Essentailly though it is a case of re-installing to get it back to square one!

ALLAN - Thanks so much for responding on this.  My initial keyword search failed to find your earlier thread, but with your direction, I did see it and confirmed that this was indeed the problem.

Anyway - I have now reinstalled and all seems as it should for now.  Since I was just starting out, I did not have too much invested in custom catalogues, etc.  Better now than later.

This seems like a fairly significant bug.  I am surprised at its apparent obscurity.  Maybe you and I are just "lucky" and it actually doesn't happen much.

Again - thanks for your help!

Illustrates the need to keep a backup of the catalog - just in case!
