raised walls!!!

in the camera view on something i have been looking at for a couple of days - suddenly the walls are off of the ground!
and some floor is missing!
btw how do i convert it from crawl/basement to slab? i hope to get a more accurate sq footage.
how do i tell it the garage does not count in sq ft?

for the walls, check their properties to verify they are correct or not.....if not change their height etc. Also compare their values to the 1st floor location table,  maybe you adjusted the walls?

floor missing could be hidden (view "eye" turned off?) or maybe you accidentally deleted, simply insert new floor where it is missing...or (from other posted message) your walls may not form a closed room so a floor does not know where to exist.

I have never converted a basement to slab but here is what I would try:
make another "basement" level in locations...same as the existing basement (different name like basment2) and insert a slab, go to existing basement and delete everything, then delete old basement location.  You really don't need a new location but its a bit safer to create new in same place as old to see any errors, tho the view is more complex.

Suggest search in this forum for 'sq ft' as there have been a couple suggestions on how to measure sq ft of a whole house, just interior, and room by room etc.  Another way is to make a simple house with a garage  .... say each is 10' x 10' and see if results are 100 sq ft or 200 sq ft.  I use Excel to track and sum sq ft and multiply by $/sq ft by room type for rough cost estimates...more work but I have full control and then know exact sq ft per room and halls, storage etc.

I had the same problem and found that as Allan always cautions that there were intersections that weren't right and exterior walls somehow started to show up as interior walls. When I checked their properties the walls came up as exterio 6" Stucco on the heading but they drew in the air as plywood and drywall faces. Drawing & Redrawing the intersections eventually corrected it. As soon as the walls switched from exterior to interior the floors disappeared for me as well. Drawing walls straight thru and either putting in holes or backing them off seems to be the safest way to eliminate bad intersections.
