Chromic Textured objects

Hi.

Has anyone got any idea what the reasons might be for this program deciding to render an object with a chromic texture, as yes "reflective" but also, and this is the key annoying point it also renders it partially see through, enough that everything behind my chromic textured object is visible as both the original object, and a reflection of said object.
I have tried to adjust various settings on the textures, various settings for texturing while creating the 3d model and also even attempted to force more poly's into the model(in a vain attempt to make what is in essence a flat object into a flat object made of many flat objects) all to no avail, Its starting to irritate me now, and i'm hoping against hope that someone can say "oh yeah, you do this and this and it fixes that" but in all fairness i really arent hopeful........

Hi Paul,

I would like to be able to say "oh yeah, you do this and this and it fixes that" but sorry I can't!  You said you have played with all the texture settings - did you find the setting for reflection (Specular) and Transparency?  If these settings have been moved then you could get transparency and reflection (as in semi-reflective glass).  If you have a chrome setting then you would need the refection but is Transparency set to zero?  If not then that would explain it.

I tried all the chrome, silver etc textures all seemed to render correctly. Some appeared to be slightly transparent but when you looked closely this actually was reflection of the surroundings.  If yours has transparency set to zero, then post an image or even the BLD file, so we can have a look what is happening.
