Bay windows - in a bay shaped wall?

Hi,

I've failed miserably... Been trying to put a bay window (rectangular) into an existing bay contructed out of brick cavity walls.

The bay window seems restricted to being the type that hangs on the side of a wall, rather than allowing itself to be built in to an
equally sized brick bay.

Gave up and put in one main flat windows and two small windows on each side. Am I missing something, or are bay windows limited to the
"nail it on the side of the building" type?

Yes I think you will find it is just a complete unit. I would list insert the walls on a new location and follow the shape of the window setting the wall height to the sill height.
