I am new to the program assessing it for purchase and am using a trial version. The program works very well for us as a home builder if the estimating can be manipulated as questioned below.

If I add an element such as a concrete block foundation wall to the project and create a project estimate, the estimate will include items such as damp proofing, anchor bolts and rigid insulation. This is a wonderful tool but I can

Hi - Welcome to TurboFLOORPLAN and the Forum.

First, although you are using the trial version it is the full version, so you have 'everything' - just needs the unlock key if or when you decide to purchase it.

TFP is actually a cut down version of Envisioneer, which, for its top version, is about 18 times the price!  In this top version, virtually everything is editable, but in TFP there are limitations - you have just run into one of them but all is not lost.  You can change the price for most things (right click, Properties/Quantity tab) but some things, as you have found, include other usually necessary items that are not individually specified on the Quantity tab, so you cannot set them. However there is a way around it, though not perfect.

When you select Select Tools/Analyse/Genergate Project Estimate, there is a dropdown list at the top of the dialog box.  If you select Excel, it will save the file in Excel spreadsheet format, so you can delete any elements you want and change the prices etc. Obviously if you change some things in your model and generate the file again, then you would have to redo your Excel changes, so it is the sort of thing you would do when you have finished the model.

All the best with your trial.  It is a fascinating product to use and very quick once you get used to the tools.
