Has anyone built a current Ikea kitchen catalog that they are happy to share?

You could try a web search for Ikea BIM.  Many companies now produce a BIM files of their products to use in architectural modelling. It sounds like Ikea may have done something like this (for a cost maybe http://andekan.com/revit-families-ikea-architectural-content-pack), but a bit of searching may come up with something useable.

TFP will import a BIM file (File/Catalogue/Import BIM File) which will give you each item complete with material to add to your catalogue.  If you can get hold of an Ikea BIM (if they make one) would solve your problem.

Thank you again Allan. I saw the price of the andekan BIM you mentioned: at that price they can keep it! I'll keep searching or failing that build the bits I need myself!

Hi Edward,

Agreed!  cheaper to buy the real thing! Still may be worth a search as some may have "escaped" from their catalogue.

You may already know, but if you right click and select Add in the Cabinets list you can design your own Cabinet from scratch. Also if you import the Shapes (search the forum for Useful Shapes) you can build almost anything, and once they are assembled, you can Export as a 3DS and Import again and it becomes a re-useable object.
