Editing "Room Region by Room" crashes v14

I just downloaded v14 last week and the program works well except that it crashes when ever I try to edit the properties for "room region". I want smaller text, and every time I try to change the text the program crashes. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

This was a problem previously for me too but not since the latest upgrade.  Check the full version number of your copy of the program (Help/About Turbofloorplan etc).  If yours is 624 or 637 at the end then you need to apply the update linked at the bottom of this Forum.  The latest version ends with 662.  Choose the upgrade from 624 to 662 or 637 to 662 , whichever applies. 

Hopefully that is the problem and, if so, this should fix it for you.

If you are only using the Trial version at the moment, then you will not be able to apply the patch until after you get the unlock code.

Thanks Allan! Unfortunately I've been trying all day to install the Pro Update 637-662, however after it starts installing it pops up a message that this can only be performed by the administrator, and it tells me I have to log in as such, then it aborts the install. The problem is that I am the administrator and I am logged in with the admin password. I don't know if anyone has any advice, but if I don't resolve the issue by tomorrow I will just call IMSI.

It may be more than just logging in as an administrator.  That did not work for me but using Vista's compatibility mode did (I assume you are using Vista). See this post for the steps I took: http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,931.0.html.

Great!  I am just about to start converting to Windows 7, a free upgrade with a new laptop, but I am dreading it.  Hopefully a Compatibility Mode there will avoid any problems for me.
