How to merge two floors/ levels from two differenyt files?

Hello,

I work with Turbofloorplan3D (v14). I've created two different files. In one file i have the first floor of the house and in the other file i have the second floor of the house. Is there a way to merge these files so i can create a file with the two floors on top of each other?

Another question- I have a house with some floors that look exactly the same. I drew the first floor and i want to copy it to become the second and third floor (so that the floors will look the same) - how do i do it?

Hello Katy!
To your first question, the answer is the are no way to merge to file what i now abut.

Your second question is more easy, you select your drawing on the first floor, and right click (PC) and select duplicate to second and third floor, but of curse you have this to location defined in Building location.

You can select do this in 2 different ways:
1: Draw a rectangle around your building with help of selection tool. (Arrow) This will select all items, selected in view filter (filled symbol)
2: Hold down shift and click on the walls and floors.

Hi Katy,

As Robert said there is no way to merge two BLD files though I can assure you it is on the 'Wish List', so maybe  - one day!

If you really want the two floors in the one model you will have to create one of them again. You could export one floor as a 2D Drawing (DXF file) and import that as a trace layer, so you can copy it exactly but you are still recreating it.

You could export the floor as a 3D Model (3DS or DXF) and import as a whole floor but you will not be able to edit anything except the textures and colours but it would be difficult to identify each, as there would be so many surfaces.  You could try that (use copies of your original files though) but I think you will find it is not a practical solution.
