I have one room I want a coffered ceiling in but only see an option for a tray ceiling ... can this be done?

Additionally, I would like a tray sort of ceiling that I can put indirect lighting in so it may need two steps ... is this possible?

Thanks

Hi Rex,

I looked up coffered ceilings and there seem to be many variants. Do you have an example photo of one similar to what you want? That would make it easier to suggest a solution for you.

For a tray ceiling with concealed lighting you may have to use two ceilings and cut a hole in the lower one.

Actually I think I may just do a double tray as you suggest.  The coffered may be a little too busy for my room.

I found how to make the cutout ... will do that - thanks
