Flat roof and flat dorm roofs

I am new but have spent 80 hrs + still have not accomplisted a flat roof for a dorm

Please explain

Hi and welcome to the forum.

To get a flat roof you have to set 3 sides to Gable and the remaining side to hip with a slope of 1 degree.

Same for the dormer.

1. Insert the dormer

2. Select the roof and click the three 'inside' edges so that the arrows turn green (as in the image below). The fourth (outer edge) should be a red arrow.

3. Right click , select Properties.

4. On Roof Style select Gable (change the overhang while you are there if you want)

5. Select the fourth (outside) edge and change the pitch to 1 degree

You may have to select the dormer walls and in the Properties make sure they are set to 'Extend To Roof'.
