templates for title block and producing Detail pages

I am just starting to learn the Pro version. I need to produce drawings for building permits. The program seems quite capable of doing the drawings I need for a site plan, floor plans, elevations, sections, and foundation plans. But I have yet to see an easy way to create the basic page on which the drawings will appear. By that I mean a page with a border around it and with a typical title block on the right side. Additionally, permit drawings always need detail pages. An example would be details for the typical concrete foundation, with rebar, and bolts, etc. Also needed are typical framing details, like a header with cripple studs and sills for windows, typical eave details, typical pier details. These are simple and are needed for each project. I would think that they could be drawn up by me or imported and placed on the page is a grid so that 8 or 10 details can be shown per page.
I'd sure like to hear that these typical chores can be saved as templates or something else that makes it easy to replicate for each project. Anyone out there able to point me to a method for doing these things?

2hours later- I found here in the Forum a post by Allan Chesney from June 4, 2009 (Printing Plans and Elevations on one sheet of paper)that offers me a way to print plan sheets with borders and title blocks-by exporting the drawings and importing them back into a new project, etc. I will try this and see if I can make it work. Perhaps there is a more recent method I can try which was not available in 2009. Any help on this would be appreciated.  The other question still remains as to how to create typical detail pages. Some version of what Allan proposes is probably possible for a detail page also. I'll see what i can do and maybe browse the Forum topics more for that.

Hi Tom,

As Allan said you can import a border.  You could also create and import a details set. You can do a wall section by using the sectioning tool, exporting it and then importing in back in. By creating a new Model view you could insert various premade details or generate sections / export and then have the ability to add text / dimensions for wall details.

But TFPlan isn't really designed to do working drawings as is. The full program by Cadsoft (Envisioneer) can do full working drawings. That program is much more expensive. If you have TurboCAD you can export your TFPlan 'plans/ elevations / sections, into TCAD and do proper working drawings there.

So, if you have time and patience , use TFPlan and all the work around.
If you have TCAD , export as dxf and import each view separately and use Print Space to create the Drawings.
Upgrade to Envisioneer
or
Contact someone like myself that does Working Drawings for others.

Thank you, Jack. I will absorb all that and consider what route to take. I do want to take the time to learn a program so i can do my own working drawings. Once I spend the time, maybe I run into the limits of the program and then wish I'd bought something more capable of doing everything I need. I will look at Envisioneer since I heard about it already. The drawings are only part of my business, but an important part nonetheless.
