Grouping of Objects

It would be nice to be able to group objects together so that they can be manipulated together at any time (not just after they are selected).  The feature should work just like the grouping of objects in MS-Office 2007 (and newer) where the objects can be selected and manipulated as a group, individually edited and manipulated if selected, and added to and subtracted from the group.  This way you can work on a "cluster of objects" that are linked together for quick access and editing.
