Slopes have me sliding into insanity

Could someone please give me a good lesson on how to create a terrain that starts level with the street for approx 45 l.f. then begins a 7 degree slope after the two garages for the length of the house (24') and then levels back out again at the end of the basement??  Then how do cut this terrain around both locations, (street level, basement level)?  See elevation attached for better detail.

Hi Mark,

Sorry but I cannot quite work out what you mean from looking at the image, as I don't know where the street level is, so I will just answer the question generally.

The slope will only occur between where you click to start it and where you click to finish - either side of that will be flat. So you would first set the slope to 7 degrees in the Slope dialog, click 45 l.f. in from the street, drag and click again at the end of the basement, (or start and end the opposite way around depending which direct the slope is).

The 7 degrees slope seems a bit shallow to me if the slope has to go up from the door on the right, to the garage doors - but I am only guessing. The only other thing you may then have to do is raise or lower the Terrain so that it sits at the right height relative to you basement/street level etc. Do that in Settings / Program Settings / Terrain - set Base Level to a plus or minus figure to place the Terrainast the right height.
