Where can I change the material/color of the roof framing?

I want to change the color of my roof framing, because some parts will be exposed and I do not want the default material there.
But I cannot select the frames, neither works the paintbrush with a picked color.
How can I do it?

Framing cannot be directly selected, as it is automatically generated, so control is limited. Even getting just part of it to display, can sometimes be difficult. However, you can change the framing type, colour etc (even design your own), by choosing the  Select Framing button in the Wall or Roof Properties.

I tried it but no success:
In the list of Construction Grade Lumber I cannot change any property (such as the wood type/color), nor can I add another type of wood.
The only thing I want is that where the underside of the roof is exposed and visible from the rooms, that the frames are dark, contrasting with the underside itself.
Any suggestion?

You should be able to just double click the particular member in the cataloge and change its appearance etc.

You can change the underside of the roof too in Roof Properties.
