Custom Light

         Hope everybody is doing well........

                    I just made a custom pendant light.  Added it to Elements.  Added it to my project. But one problem.......it doesn't show up in 2D View.  It shows up in 3D view okay.   Even lights up.

Hi Garystan,

Have you set a line colour for the 2D view on the Appearance tab (bottom setting)? If is set to white or no colour at all, then it will not show.

                   Just after I "installed"  my pendant lights,  I added an old steamer-style trunk.  I showed up in 2D, as well  as 3D.     I looked for the Appearance Tab where it would show  the line color for 2D.   I didn't see it.

                      Sorry about that.    I found it.   Duh...............good thing it wasn't a snake........Gee that was difficult  (just being an idiot).     Yup, it showed right up.

Hi Garystan,

If the 2D is turned off in Component Display then the line will not appear in 2D but if you look at your previous image (Appearance tab of the Light Properties) you will notice the bottom section is Linestyle. This is where you set the colour and thinkness of the 2D lines.

                     Thanks.     I DID notice that part of the Appearance Tab.  But,  I didn't pay too much attention to it.    As for the Line (thickness)  I thought that might've been to show walls, electrical,  etc...........  Thanks for your help.
