using V16, i have imported a jpg image and then traced the perimeter to start the project.

However when I  hide the image and the wall is present.

When I try to select one of the elements in the wall . the system selects the wrong element .. no matter what element I select TFP selects the same incorrect element.

If I delete what is in the model (nothing left) and create a new perimeter wall ... I can select the any of the elements in the model

What setting/process am I missing ..

Without seeing the model itself it is hard to diagnose what is happening, however a couple of suggestions that may help.

Are you on the correct location?  The trace image may be on a different location to the walls and you may be on the trace location.

In Settings / Program Settings / Building Aids is the box ticked against "Select Elements on Current Location only while in Plan View".
If this in not ticked, you can select elements on all locations and you will constantly be selecting things you don't want.

If that does not help you may need top post the model here or email it to me (alches AT iinet DOT net DOT au)
