Half of "Quick View" messed up

I use the "Quick View" (the button with the blue center and red, yellow, green and white arrows in the bottom tray) often when modeling then transition to camera views when I'm finishing things.  Today I pushed some virtual button and the "quick view" camera location for the four side views and the top view all moved about a mile away.  The four corner views are fine.  I did not think there was any way to change viewing distance for the "quick view" tool and now I don''t know how to reset them.

So far I've tried the switch back and forth between 2d and 3d, 'zoom to fit', and the save the data and restart.  Nothing fixes the problem but 'zoom to fit has the funny effect of making the 'very small viewed from a mile away house' disappear.

How do I fix this?

I still have not found the problem cause but I did find one more characteristic of the problem. I I click 'zoom to fit' the image turns into a small postage stamp on the screen.  I now think I may have accidentally added some element that is thousands of feet above the house.  However I can't find it.  The file is attached.

Hi Tom,

I suspected the problem from your first post but the second and the bld file confirmed it.

What you need to do is go through each of the Building Locations you have added and choose 'framing options'. This is actually a bug, in that when you create a new Location it should really have a default framing option but it is defaulting to 'none'. If you go through them all and select any of the framing options or just the Default Configuration (except the first - it must have been one of the originals and just renamed) you will find the zoom to extents works OK.

That was the problem.  I changed everything to 'default' and then the views and zooms worked.  Thank you Allan and I can't help but marvel at just how well you know the underpinnings of this SW.  I'd love to understand all these options but that is a learning task for some other month.

Hi Tom,

I am glad that worked for you although I knew it would as I tried it out on your file. I have used  the program every day have since it was originally released, so that does help one get to know it!!! Even so I still keep finding out new things that it will do!

All the best with your project.
