Auto Roof Generation (V17)

I cannot turn off the Auto Roof Generation per the instructions in the TFP ver 17 User Guide .  The Auto Roof menu is not displayed under the Tools Options menu. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Tknudsen,

1 - You can activate /deactivate the Autoroof --> Click on the exterior walls' perimeter--> you will see the eave --> When you select the roof eave, the screen looks like the 1st attached image --> properties bar (right pane) --> tool options--> Options--> check "automatically generates panels" (see 2nd image attached)
The 3rd image shows how to select the eave

Note: If the Tool Options bar does not automatically display, reset it by checking Auto Display Tool Options on the Window menu.

2 - In order to remove an older roof --> Go to the Roof tab --> select the roof's pieces --> use the Delete key of your keyboard

3 - To draw additional roof pieces --> Go to the Roof tab --> use the ready to use roof shapes or the freehand roof tool

You can also Auto generate the roofs in the Quick start screen (Design Menu)

I was able to place a gable roof on the RV garage structure with the correct pitch of 5:12.  I do have a problem with the whole roof now floats about 6" above all the walls.  What do I need to do to correct the floating problem?

Did you solve the garage door issue and the auto roof issue? 

In order to solve the floating problem, just select the roof and adjust the elevation
