dimensions from wall to wall

How can I get dimensions to reflect inside of 1 wall to inside of opposite wall instead of from center of one wall to center of opposite wall.  thanks

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

All the dimension settings are found in the menu Settings/Dimensions.  By ticking the various boxes you can set the dimensions to count from wherever you like and whatever style you like.

Can you give me step by step for V17.  When I now give custom length to a wall, it shows from center of one wall to center of another wall.  I thought I had it figured out.  I need measurement showing inside of wall to inside of opposite wall.  I don't have tools tab in V17.  Dimensions tab only lets me choose what type of arrow, etc to use in measurement.  Thank you.

Are you using V16 or V17? You have posted this in the V16 forum section but refer to V17. If the question relates to V17 then you need to ask the question in the v17 section, as the two programs are completely different. This would explain why you do not have a tools menu.
