Rendering in TFP V17

        Hi everybody :

                 Why do renderings in version 17 of TFP always look cartoonish.  I still use version 16, and they come out really close to a photo......hence the term photorealistic.

I don't know why you insist in the comparison between both programs. They are both good but different.
I am glad to know that you are happy with your program and I am glad with mine!

                         I mean no insult.   But, when I downloaded the trial version of TFP v17,  I noticed the shadows weren't as strong as version 16.  Plus, when I went to edit properties of furniture,  I could only do it in sections,  rather than (for example) editing the cushion, or the frame, etc.   I'd have to edit sections of the cushion.......etc.

No insult taken. The fact is that we had this discussion before and I don't see the point of compare both programs.
Some people love Chevrolet, some people love Ford. Both are good cars. I don't think that there is right or wrong.

FYI, the new version is V 2015.
Regarding the objects' edition: any object in TFP V17 and TFP V2015 can be opened and edited within the program using the 3D Workshop Power Tool. The objects can be edited by parts or as complete entities or by points. This means that you can edit the entire cushion, or a part of it or just a point. There are specific controls for this
