If TFP 2015 is Punch software, do the Punch training books apply? Also If you buy TFP can it be installed on more than one computer ( laptop & home pc ) and if you buy a new computer can it be moved to it>

Hi there,

Yes, absolutely.
Any of the my training and resources e-books are 100% compatible with TFP V17 and TFP V2015. The links are in my signature

Hi there,

As you probably know, this Forum is user to user so, I'd suggest that you check the installation issue directly with Imsi

Not sure what do you mean by "View Menu for 3D camera Settings" as well as the different items? are you talking about the TFP V2015?

Please, try to detail the problem as specifically as possible, so we can understand the issue. Let us know exactly what you want to do, what you tried, what seems broken, etc.

OK I will check with IMSI about installation, but:

1) How do you set the color of text or change it afterwords? I only see font style offered, but somehow have 2 different colors in my first drawing.

2) How do you draw a 45 degree wall? Somewhere I read there is a default 15 degree angle constraint, but can't find it now and there is no constraint or angle readout when drawing walls, so it seems impossible to know what angle you are drawing. Can you set an angle constraint somewhere?

Hi Wayne,

thank you for clarifying your questions

You can move text and manual dimensions to different layers => each element will appear with the color of the respective layer

The 2D => Snap options menu shows different type of snap settings.
By default, the program uses the angle constraint but if you wish to avoid it , just click the Shift key.
To rotate a wall => draw the wall => select the wall => Edit => Rotate => write the angle (45 degrees in this case) => OK

Patricia,

1) How specifically do I move text to a different layer? Most of mine was drawn in the plumbing layer and I don't see how to move them anywhere.

2) How do I move or draw furniture in a layer that can be turned off?

3) Angle constrain is checked but doesn't seem to do anything when drawing a wall; what should it do or how can I change it?

If I could find the answers to these questions in the help file or index I wouldn't be asking them!

Wayne,

If I understand correctly your question, your problem is how to find these items in the User's Guide and if they are included.
Yes, sure, the information is in the User's Guide. A tip: if you don't find the issues in the index, as the guide is a PDF file, you can use the Search feature (instead of the index)

Page 6: you will find "changing layers" (Select the manual dimension => Edit => Move to plan => select the desired plan)

Page 17: you will find "Viewing the 2D Plan" and "To view drawing layer combinations"

Page 55: you will find "Rotating a Selection"

Page 70: you will find "AutoSnap Options" including angle constraint (page 71)

Page 103: you will find "Drawing Walls" including how to use or not the 5 degrees angle constraint

Hope this helps

Patricia
