version 16 object snap

Hi, When i use object snap which  i have to do at all times in drawing my site plans. The line i am drawing shoots off to a point 300m off my plan. I have magnified that point but cannot highlight anything that might be causing the problem.
I have tried the repair option in the program and deleted and reloaded that program and neither have helped.
Mindscape cannot help either so at the moment i cannot work at all. I also cannot place any outdoor structures in the drawings.

Help would be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

That sounds like a very odd one and the easiest way possible to sort it out, (rather than me asking hundreds of questions) is to post the actual project here so I can have a.look at it for you. If it is too big (4MB limit) or if you would prefer not to post it publicly, then you could email it to me. (Alches AT iinet DOT net DOT au)

It is possible only something small but can be tricky to find, so I think this would be the quickest way.
