Hi again,
Something odd happened to me the other day.
I had drawn up a single storey house plan with 240 mm ext walls (they have always been masonry walls, and were just 2 parallel lines as always with no fill).
Whwn I selected a couple of sections to modify the dimensions, presto, they appeared as a BV wall should with 4 parallel lines, inner being red and outer blue. I actually did delete the existing section and drew new ones so I could move them. (I couldn't find an emoticon that looked perplexed and confused)
That's cool, I want them like that. But how and why did it all of a sudden start? the rest of the walls stayed the same
Also, in order to get a 240 mm thick wall (combined), I have to nominate the width as 120 mm.
Is there a way to actually make the frame 90 mm, 40 mm gap and the brick 110 mm?
Does Envisioneer have a student version at a reduced cost?
Ta,
Shawn

Shawn,

You will notice that this happens on some walls (eg 150mm brick).  You can go to the wall Properties/Appearance tab, select 2D Structure, 2D Veneer and Airspace and in each case you can select the Line Type and colour/style etc.  I have not played with this a lot as I am not interested in plans as such only the 3D photorealistic images, but in theory you can set all these things (double click everything - you will be suprised what appears).  I don't think you can set how far apart the lines are however.  If you find it is possible let us know! Try adding a new wall and make the settings to get what you want.
