i drew a shape in coral draw, i made it 3d, coloured it red, succesfully imported it into tfp but the colour had disappeared, tried to put a colour into it in tfp but it would only change the outline, can do every thing else with it, what am i doing wrong.

I think Doug is familiar with Coral Draw so he may be able to throw some light on it.  I know with other programs that create 3DS files, you have to set each part of the object you want as editable in TFP to a different colour, so maybe it is something similar. with Coral Draw.

Hopefully Doug or someone else can be more helpful with this for you.

I don't have the latest version of CorelDraw but while it may generate a 3D looking view, it does not generate a 3D object that I am aware of. CD like Illustrator is a 2D vector program. Photoshop is a 2D bitmap/pixel program that can generate 3D looking objects and can import true 3D formats (extended ver. only) but I don't believe it can create and export true 3D objects.

What ver. of CD are you using and what file format did you try as exported from CD to TFP? (for example .jpg, .3ds. etc.)

There are many true 3D (surface and/or solid) modelers; some are free....they produce file formats such as .3ds, .obj .dxf. etc. for object export.
