V14 Patch

Hi,

I have just downloaded the V14 patch - TFPPRO_14_0_C1_637_1 but when I run it I have the option to Modify, Repair or Remove. I tried Repair and it seemed to install OK but the version details under About still show 14.00.C.624.
Does this mean that the patch has not worked?

Hi Ken,

Welcome to the forum.

The version number should normally show the same number as the patch (637) so it may indicate that patch has not worked.

I did not get those options when I installed the patch so can't really throw any light on it.

As a check, click the View Manager button (or menu View/View Manager).  Does it just list Default Group and Standard (on the left) or does it have a list of 4 worksheets also.  If it has 4 worksheets it has not worked, as those worksheets should not be there - they should be removed by the patch.

Unless anyone else comes up with some other ideas, you could try it again and if it is still the same the try again and select Modify the next time and see what options that gives you. 

Let us know how you go with it, as it could help someone else who comes up with the same message.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I've now got it sorted but I don't think the method will be of much use to other members unless, like me, they're going senile!

The problem was that I thought I was installing the downloaded patch but, being in the wrong folder, I was actually re-installing the original program!!!

I do have another query, regarding the tutor section but I will do that as a new post.

Again, many thanks for trying to help a sad old man!
