Another question:
Is this program able to pull out a "wall section"?

Yes, select wall, right click and choose "break", click to mark where wall will be split....read help for "break"....it is easy after a try or two

You "break" the wall as many times as needed to make it into pieced lengths, then delete wall not wanted and add side and end walls to make the new wall section.....just dragging on a wall break will move all the wall parts together, not make new side wall extenders.

On the attached file, in the left and right elevation view, there appears to be some type of "blue pipes" running through the lot.  What does this represent?

Also, what is the difference in the "blue" and " black" areas?

Move your mouse over the lines and it shows pvc object you placed on edges probably

Select anything you want to know about and right click, choose properties and it will tell you what it is in detail.

2D colors are set as default for each object....and they can be changed by you. Colors help distinguish objects from each other.

I think we are talking about 2 different type of wall sections.

On the "wall section" I was referring to a wall section as you would include in a set of typical house plans.  Sometimes call a "Detailed Wall Section" - it would show foundation, basement, floor joists, first floor, ceiling, etc. all the way up to the roof.

Hi Garry,

If I understand you correctly, you are referring to the Section Tool. It is the next icon along the toolbar from the Elevations icon. Dynamic Cutaway does a similar thing.

Since the other issue you need help with, relates to the building rather than the Terrain, it would probably be better to continue that discussion in the other thread, "Gable Roof", so we have the previous history with it. You said you were able to do some of it but not all, so it may be best to ask the specific questions in that thread.

Hi again Garry,

Just noticed you had a couple of other questions earlier re the terrain:

Does it matter if you start at the highest point and use "negative slopes" or start at the lowest point and use "positive slopes" or would the results be the same? 

I still have the issue of not be able to make changes to the edge, text, etc. - "Terrain" only still keeps indicating - never can get it to any of the others.

The starting point is not really critical since the whole terrain can be moved up or down, but it probably is more logical to start from the building itself using positive and negative slopes as required. Bear in mind that they still add to each other.

The terrain is selectable regardless of which Location you are currently on. If you keep selecting the terrain accidentally when trying to select other things, go to the View Filter and click the icon in the Selection column next to Terrain.  You will then be able to select everything except the terrain.
