I'm offering a suggestion for future version but also hoping this already exists and I just can't find it???

In every 2D and 3D program I have (many) each has a window/palette/panel/tool/etc. that easily lists every item in the whole scene or file....usually in an indented form and called instances, layers, objects, textures, inventory, or something similar.

This list can be viewed any time (always open) and highlights an object if selected and vice-versa; click on an object and the list item is highlighted. And there is a search mechanism. (Thanks for the catalog search tool.)

Why? because it is so handy for checking errors, finding things, organizing stuff, finding duplicates or hidden items....for example find an object that had been accidentally located far afield or whose elevation hides it from most views etc.

So...IMSI, assuming this does not exist, please add. The coding is pretty easy as everything is known and located already to make analysis tools work and to render a scene...just needs a bit of GUI. Ability to save/print the list for ref. or use/export to Excel would also be handy.

I (and many others) could be much more efficient with this capability and TFP and Envisioneer would be more competitive.

Hi Doug,

There is the Project Estimate of course, that lists every object on every location but you cannot click on the items and see where they are in the project - that would be an excellent feature, especially if it was in a 'drop down list' or similar form. I am sure this is already on the wish list'  - so hopefully, one day....
